{Ties & Tutus time!!}

It’s that time of year again! Time for those sweet little bunnies….time for those cute, sassy tutus….time for the big daddy ties…and most importantly it is time for your little ones to come capture some Easter memories. We had so much fun last year with all the Ties & Tutus sessions and cannot wait to do it all over again this year!

We will have bunnies again and will provide ties and tutus for anyone interested. If you have any questions, please contact me! I look forward to hearing from you!

{Christmas Card Designs – already that time of year!}

Can you believe we only have 6 and 1/2 weeks until Christmas? WOW! Where has the year gone? It seems like yesterday we were trick-or-treating and that Thanksgiving shouldn’t be right around the corner, much less Christmas!! But it is definitely that time of year, already!

Several of you have already booked your Christmas session – for those of you who haven’t, there is still plenty of time! But don’t wait TOO long!

Whether you already have your session booked or “were just about to call”, here are the gorgeous card designs to choose from for this year! (by the way, I will also post these to an album on my Facebook Business page – so you can see them there too!) All of these designs are available on either fine linen or pearl paper – both are absolutely gorgeous! Your friends and family won’t want to throw your card away when the season is over! :)

Hope you all love them as much as I do!

{Chloe + 3 handsome fellows!} – Atlanta Georgia Childrens Photographer

I had the pleasure of meeting this sweet family back in March during my Easter special. Chloe is a beautiful and very serious little one! Soon after, pretty little Chloe turned two and she brought all three of her big brothers along for the shoot. These kids are so well behaved – polite, cooperative, just good kids! (Huge kudos to the mom and dad! All your hard work, made my job easy!)

A few from our morning together…

{love.anticipation.happiness…} – Atlanta GA couples photographer

A while ago I had the pleasure of meeting this fabulous couple. These two have the best personalities and were so much fun to shoot! Their love and mutual respect for one another was evident. We took these portraits for a very, very special purpose…..these two were looking to adopt a precious baby and wanted to enhance their profile. Here are some of my favorites from our morning together….and the best part? I’m meeting their new addition tomorrow! So stay tuned for an adorable newborn shoot!

I cannot wait to work with these two again AND meet their new bundle of much anticipated JOY!

Thanks for looking!

Thanks Roxana for a great evening! You are beautiful – inside and out!

And thanks to all of you for looking!

{sibling sweetness}

A few weeks ago, I photographed little man Sam and Miss Jessica. Sam was so happy & sweet – and definitely made me laugh! Jessica wasn’t thrilled to have her picture made but as you can see she had nothing to worry about! Beautiful blue eyes, great skin and gorgeous hair - what more could I ask for? :) Here are some of my favorites from our morning together.

Hope you enjoy these as much as I do!

{Peace,Love&Woofstock}

Several weeks ago the kids, my husband, myself and most importantly our dog, Molly girl, went to Star94′s annual Woofstock event. It was blazing hot – so our guest of honor (Molly, of course!) spent her day looking for free dog bowls filled with water! :) But the kids had a blast – playing in the water fountains (the event is held at Suwanee Town Center), playing in the free bounce houses, and jumping on the free bungee trampolines. I must say Star94 does a fabulous job putting on this event!

We had a great time dog watching too! Itty-bitty to enormous – dogs of all breeds, all sizes, and all mixures were romping around with their proud owners. These people truly love the 4 legged members of their families. Acutally several people seemed to love our 4 legged family member as well! Molly is a pure-breed boxer and obviously several of the boxer males had their eye on our girl. ;) Molly was invited to “breed” with quite a few males hanging out at the event, but we politely declined!

I definitely cannot leave out the vendors from that day. I honestly had no idea! From humane societies, to no-kill rescues, to specialy pet bakeries, to specialty artists, to pet water bottles! If you could possibly think of it – it was there!

OH! And live music to boot!! Like I said, Star94 really goes all out for the doggies!

Since we plan to do a dog and cat charity event in the *very* near future to benefit a local not-for profit, I thought I’d share a few of the images captured that day.

Enjoy!

Peace, love and pets!

{love.my.girl}

Ever heard of the plumber who always has a leaky faucet? that builder who never finishes the addition to his own house? the mechanic who’s car needs new muffler? Well, how about the photographer that never gets around to doing photoshoots (and NO, candids do NOT count!) of her own children?? Or how about that photographer that when she does do the shoots, never finds the time to edit those of her own kids??

Never heard of her? Hmmm, you have now! I admit it! I am have a ga-jillion pictures of my own precious babies – but have the worst time actually taking the time to do a real photoshoot with them….and you guessed it! When I do get around to a shoot, I have an even harder time getting them edited! Which is crazy if you really think about it! I love pictures, adore pictures, and I actually see the world IN pictures just about every where I go. I see locations, colors, clothing – and off my brain flies thinking of how to use this or that in a certain picture or for a particular portrait session.

So this summer (and for the rest of the year…and dare I say from here on out???), I have vowed to schedule time for my own precious ones. Time not only for the shoot, but for the editing and for putting them BIG on my walls! (oh yes, I am definitely a fan of Bigger is Better!!)

And can you believe it? I have even already done a session! Totally fly by the seat of my pants, decide at 5pm that we’re going to go for it that evening – but done, none-the-less! :) It was quick – no more than 30 minutes, it was HOT – still hovering around 90, and I swear taking pictures of your own kids is WAY harder than a session with any other kids in the entire universe! :)

I managed to get a lot that I love from that short mini-session and here is one of my sweet, funny, opinionated, strong-willed, cuddly, loving, musical, twinkle-eyed, just wanna squeeze those cheeks, love of my life Gretchen girl. We’ve had such a long road (medically) with this one but things are looking up and we are {hopefully} seeing the light at the end of the tunnel! Don’t you just want to squeeze {and smooch} those cheeks??

Stay tuned for the rest of this shoot!

Thanks for reading….comments welcomed, loved, appreciated! :)

{simple happiness}

This past Saturday I had a crazy *but amazing* day of shooting – bridal, boudoir and even some maternity. Yes, all in one day! :) It was a crazy long day. I got some amazing shots.

But this one – showing everyday, simple beauty has stayed with me. It is so simple, so natural and still unexpected! Somehow it reminded me to never stop looking for the beauty found in the everyday. Just nature being naturally beautiful. Call me silly, but this little guy made me stop. He definitely made me smile. And I couldn’t help but take a shot (or two or three!) He simply made me happy! Here he was hanging out on the top of the lip gloss, just like he owned the place! :)

It is the sweet, simple things of life which are the real ones after all. (Laura Ingalls Wilder)

I hope this little guy brings a smile to your face, too! And stay tuned for posts on the {real} subjects for the day! :) :)
