{such a love~hate relationship!}

Ok – so here’s the deal. I love, and I mean ADORE looking at other people’s blogs. Well, mostly photography and design blogs…but really, I love reading it all. The ones that post about their personal lives – where they are going this weekend, the cool restaurant they went to on last weekend’s date night, the fun they had with their kids at the strawberry patch….and then the good stuff of course. All the totally {AMAZING} moments and memories they were able to capture – for a newborn, first birthday, a couple in love, a wedding. Whatever the occastion - if it’s rockin’ photos, I’m ALL about it!

*HUMP!* my blog would say! *where is all the love here?* my blog screams! *the fun posts….the silly lamentings….the excited ramblings…the cool pics….* my blog SIGHS!

And there you have the love~hate relationship…in a nutshell anyway. While I LOVE other people’s blogs, I have the most terrible time getting into my own. I think about my blog quite often, every day even. Think of the cool posts I {should} be doing, think of the cool shots I {should} share…and then things get crazy, I get frazzled and yep, you guessed it. Zero, nadda, zip – nothing gets posted! Oh how I would love to be a cool blogger – with awesome things to say two, three even four times a week.

So here it is. I am not going to promise to suddenly become that cool blogger. I’m trying to be realistic here!! But I am saying that I will make a conscious effort to blog {much} more regularly!

All THAT being said – I honestly have had some amazing things going on. Our spring/Easter special was met with an awesome response and we met some great new people with all of those sessions. I was able to attend a fabulous workshop, learn some new tricks and meet some truly amazing and inspiring people. AND we are in the works with new and exciting things for the business!! I can’t wait!

And since no post is complete (in my humble opinion) without a picture, here are some from a high school Fashion Show from {several} weeks ago. These kids were so fun to watch – they were both excited and nervous to be dressed up and dolled up to walk the runway! As they waited their turn to strut their stuff, I captured their memories. Here are a few from that night (I can’t say my favs, because honestly I have TOO many favs to post them all! check out Heather Moraru Photography on Facebook for *many, many* more of these guys!).

And of course, getting into this whole blog thing…you know, becoming that cool blogger I was talking about earlier? Anyway, it would be so much easier if people would comment – HERE! :) I get emails and facebook posts about my blog – but rarely does someone leave a comment here. (is it freaky in some way to comment here? no personal info is shared! I promise!) ;)

Brooke - Heather, I have been meaning to write you to let you know how much I enjoy looking at your work. You are truly an artist and have a God-given talent for capturing such great moments in time. I think the photos you take of babies and children are my absolute favorites! One day (hopefully soon) I will be able to let you photograph my two "babies."

Alin - I know what you mean about the blog posting. I literally have Start a Blog on my Outlook calendar and it is 17 weeks overdue. A cool blogger? That's maybe more discipline than I'm willing to put in. The pictures are awesome. I also really dig the watermark you've chosen. To my thinking, it does not take away anything from the picture, and even if some of the clients copy/paste for their personal usage -maybe on their own COOL blog- the picture shines. Makes for reasonable advertising, to boot. Keep up the great work.

Danielle - Heather, I think you did such a great job with the fashion show photos. I LOVE your favorites mine has to be the girl in the gray dress with the look on her face that says she is a southern lady. Just beautiful. All the kids say what fun you were to work with and how pretty you are. Is there a package or something that we could promote? I know they would love to have the pics. These are better than most of their senior photos!

Renan - Heather, I enjoyed getting my pic tooken from you ,you are fun and easy to take pictures with and im happy 2 be in one of your fav. =] I Also Was Creeping Though The Fashion Show Video And On The 3rd One The Last Pic. Was Me Look To The Side With The Shades And I Honestly Feel In Love Wit That One =] Thank You For Everything

gabi bass - These are great photos ! I read your post, such a Love-Hate relationship. I'm guilty too ! I'm in the beginning phases of starting my photography business. I go to ProPhoto and click the view more random feedback button on the testimonials page just to read bio's of Photographers ! It's addictive ! As far as blogging, I love reading others stuff...but have a hard time journaling ! I have gotten some really cool ideas for my up-and-coming blog. For example, my obsession with shoes-I plan on having a section dedicated with photos of shoes I love, things I love about my husband, project 365, 52 strangers. I feel like this will help me to journal/blog more and build my discipline to take photos everyday. My eventual goal is to be a wedding photographer because I'm in love with LOVE ! peace.love.photography. ~gabi
